By Family Composition — Recommended Tier

Couple + 1 baby (3 pax including infant)

Tier 1 Essential — 2 adults × $105 = $210. Infant free. Total: $210. The line-skip is the main value; lounge and transfer are nice-to-have at this stage.

Couple + 2 toddlers (4 pax)

Tier 2 Premium recommended — 2 adults × $500 + 2 children × $70 = $1,140 minus 10% = $1,026. The lounge gives toddlers a place to play and recover; the transfer with child seats is essential.

Wedding party / celebration travel

10+ pax = use Group Fast Track with custom pricing.

Stroller and Carry-On Strategy

Strollers

Most airlines allow strollers gate-side until boarding. On arrival, your stroller is sent to baggage claim (where standard checked luggage arrives). Bali Fast Tracks greeters retrieve strollers from carousel and reunite the family at the carousel within 4 minutes — you don't have to wait alone with tired children.

Car seats

Indonesian law requires child restraint for ages 0–4. The Premium ($500) and VVIP ($1,500) tiers include car seat installation in your transfer vehicle. Confirm child age, weight, and seat type at booking. We provide rear-facing for infants and forward-facing convertibles for toddlers/young children.

Multiple carry-on items

Greeters bring porter trolleys for carry-on consolidation. Parents carrying children + diaper bag + strollers + tablets can hand off everything to the greeter for the immigration walk.

Practical Tactics for the Process

Bring entertainment for the brief wait

Even with fast track, there's a 1–2 minute wait at the immigration counter while the officer processes. Have a phone with downloaded video or a small toy to occupy young children.

Time your child's snack

If your child is hungry as you land, they'll be cranky through the process. Time the in-flight snack so they're satiated for the ~10 minutes between deplaning and exiting.

Use the lounge for toilet stops

The lounge has clean family bathrooms and changing facilities. A 30-minute lounge stop with toilet break, snack, and rest is far better than rushing to the hotel.

Coordinate with grandparents in advance

If you're meeting at the arrival hall, share the greeter's photo and contact details with both ends so everyone knows what to expect.

Special Family Scenarios

Infant in arms vs in stroller

Either works. Greeters carry baby supplies and can adjust pace. The diplomatic lane is wheelchair-accessible so any size stroller is fine.

Older sibling helping with younger sibling

Fine. Greeters keep the family group together and won't separate parents from children.

Adopted child with different surname

Bring adoption documentation for any potential immigration questions. Premium tier agents are trained on family documentation edge cases.

Grandparent traveling with grandchild (without parents)

Some immigration officers ask for parental authorisation letter. Bring a notarised letter from parents giving travel permission for the child.

Single parent travelling with children

Some destinations require notarised letter from the absent parent. Indonesia is generally relaxed but check current requirements before flying.

What If Things Go Wrong

Child gets sick on the plane

Greeter helps escort to medical room (DPS has a clinic) before continuing the process. Bali Fast Tracks operations team can also help arrange in-Bali medical care if needed during your stay.

Child has meltdown in queue

Greeters carry small comfort items (stickers, sweets if age-appropriate). Pace can pause briefly. The diplomatic lane is calmer and quieter than the standard queue, which helps.

Family separated by gate exit

Greeter recombines the family at the immigration entrance. Greeters know to wait for stragglers.

Lost child in airport

Stay calm. Airport security has CCTV throughout. Notify greeter immediately; they have radio contact with airport security. Most reunifications happen within 5–10 minutes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, almost always during peak hours. A family of 4 saves roughly 6 person-hours of queue time at peak (90 min × 4 people). At Tier 2 Premium with the 10% family discount, you're paying per family-hour saved — and family-time with tired children in queue is the worst kind of family-time. The math favours families more than solo travellers.
No problem. Greeters set pace to your needs. They can carry a sleeping infant in arms or stroller through the entire process at slow pace without losing the line-skip benefit. Many of our family clients specifically book fast track to keep their baby asleep through arrival.
Premium ($500) and VVIP ($1,500) tiers include car seat installation in your transfer vehicle. Confirm child age, weight, and seat type at booking — we provide rear-facing for infants and forward-facing convertibles for toddlers. Tier 1 Essential ($105) does not include transfer; arrange your own driver and bring/rent your own seats.
Yes. The diplomatic lane is fully wheelchair-accessible. Airport-provided wheelchair service is free; coordinate this 24 hours ahead at booking. Greeters set pace to grandparents' comfort. Many multi-gen families specifically book Premium tier for the lounge access where elderly relatives can rest before continuing.
Use Group Fast Track with custom pricing (typically $105-500 per pax for groups 20-50). Dedicated coordinator manages the multi-flight arrival, custom branded greeting signs (e.g., 'Welcome to Sarah & Marcus Wedding'), multi-vehicle convoy, and synchronised hotel arrival. Email us with details.
